Vegard Hornnes was selected as the recipient of the 2023 POAC Best Student Paper Award. Vegard Hornnes was a Ph.D. student at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway. The title of his paper was "The development of layers in an ice cover in a sub-Arctic Norwegian fjord". The award was presented at the banquet by the POAC'23 President Prof. Erkan Oterkus.
